Criminal Roleplay

Criminal roleplay isn’t about winning, but rather it’s about creating tension, story, and consequence. Whether you're a low starting thief, bootlegger, outlaw, or gang leader, your role exists to drive narrative and challenge both sides of the law.

Avoid overuse or repetition. If every day is a robbery, murder, or explosive event, it loses weight. Build toward big moments and vary your methods. Even criminals need downtime, relationships, and internal conflict.

Value the consequence. Jail time, injuries, or loss can be great storytelling tools. If you run from every situation or constantly escape with no cost, you miss half the experience. Build a character who can lose as well as win. Include others and give experience to others around you with your actions.

Give law and civilians something to respond to. Leave clues, rumors, or aftermaths that lead to an investigation. A silent robbery with no trace might work once, but it gives no one anything to interact with.

Respect escalation. Not every crime needs to be violent. Start small and let your story evolve naturally. Random killings or excessive shootouts with no context break immersion and create fatigue for everyone involved. You can use, for example, imitation or blackmail to get your message across!
